Development Type: Film Studio

Commissioned to provide Travel Planning advice associated with the conversion of a large industrial unit into a film production studio in Ealing. A bespoke Travel Plan strategy was required to effect travel behaviours, to shift towards sustainable transport modes.

The Travel Plan strategy was agreed with the local highway authority, which entailed the implementation of measures including the management of car parking such that some production staff (e.g. supporting artists) were prohibited from parking and required to use of sustainable travel modes. The parking restrictions would be communicated through the casting / recruitment processes. For larger film shoots, shuttle buses would be provided between public transport hubs and the site.
