It was proposed that the historic Harlyn House was redeveloped to provide a new luxury hotel. Bright Plan were instructed to provide a Design Assessment, Transport Statement and Travel Plan services supporting the planning application. Bright Plan were required to design an upgrade of the site’s existing access to serve the hotel. However, planning constrains associated with the mature trees and shrubs surrounding the access limited design options.
Bright Plan overcame the access issues through the creation of a secondary service / staff access which improved the site’s servicing and delivery arrangements whilst preserving the character of the Hotels Grounds. The existing access was retained for drop-off and collection of guests only.
